Now that you've made a serious investment in some very nice lingerie, you want it to last for a long time. This means that you'll have to take a few precautions when washing these delicate delights.

Keep It Kinky recommend that to take full advantage of all the new technology used in the fabrics and styles of the lingerie that you purchase, that you should always follow the care instructions inside each garment. This will ensure the durability and longevity of your lingerie.

To keep your bras and panties from losing their shape, they should be hand washed in cold water and a gentle detergent.

If hand washing isn't your thing, use a lingerie bag and a delicate cycle on your washing machine and a cool water setting. Ensure that all clasps are done up so that the bras don't get tangled. (Please note that this is always going to be harder on your fine lingerie than a gentle washing by hand.)

Never put bras or panties in the dryer. The intense heat will ruin them. They should be line dried, away from any sunlight (to avoid fading of the colours.)

Most manufacturers consider the average lifespan for a lingerie garment to be approximately 6-8 months. Check your garments carefully... once they begin to lose their shape and elasticity, it's time they were replaced. Proper washing and care of your fine lingerie will extend their life as long as possible.
